These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Dirty Disco Stars ("DDS," "we," "us," or "our") governing your access to dirtydiscostars.com, the DDS Library, Studio breakdowns, sample packs, DDS Mastering, member community spaces (including Discord), and related digital products and services (together, the "Services").
By creating an account, starting a checkout, streaming content, downloading files, submitting a mastering order, or otherwise using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
These Terms apply in addition to any checkout confirmation, download acknowledgment, or order form you accept at the point of purchase. If there is a conflict, the more specific product terms control for that product.
- You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country, if higher) to create an account or purchase.
- You must provide accurate registration and billing information and keep it current.
- You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for all activity under your account.
- Accounts are personal and non-transferable. Do not share, sell, rent, or lend your account, password, stream links, download links, or member Discord access.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, appear compromised, or show signs of credential sharing, scraping, or abuse.
3.1 DDS Library (subscription)
The Library is a membership that may include Studio video breakdowns, monthly sample packs, tenure-based unlocks of older packs, member community access, and related member benefits we describe on the site from time to time.
Features, catalog, release cadence, Discord access, and member pricing may change. We do not guarantee that any particular video, pack, or perk will remain available indefinitely.
3.2 Studio breakdowns (video)
Studio breakdowns are licensed for personal educational viewing through our authenticated players while your membership is active (or while we otherwise grant access).
Unless we expressly provide a download, videos are stream-only. You may not rip, record, mirror, re-upload, publicly perform, or redistribute video content.
3.3 Sample packs
Sample packs (loops, one-shots, stems, MIDI, presets, or similar assets) are licensed digital products. Purchasing or unlocking a pack grants a limited license to use the contents — not ownership of the underlying copyrights.
Access to packs may depend on an active subscription, payment status, and tenure unlock rules described in the Library.
3.4 DDS Mastering
DDS Mastering is a paid human mastering service sold per track (or other units we list). After payment, you submit mix links and a brief; we deliver a stereo WAV (or other format we specify) through your dashboard when ready.
Turnaround estimates (for example, 2–3 business days after we receive usable files) are targets, not guarantees. Delays caused by incomplete files, inaccessible links, holidays, or revision rounds may extend delivery.
4.1 Our ownership
DDS and its licensors own all rights in the Services, including videos, sample content, site design, branding, text, software, and delivery systems. No rights are granted except the limited licenses expressly stated here.
4.2 Sample pack license (what you may do)
Subject to these Terms and a valid unlock/download, we grant you a worldwide, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to use sample-pack contents in your own musical works and productions, including commercial releases, live sets, and sync placements where you are the rights holder of the finished work.
- You may edit, process, arrange, and combine samples with other material in your productions.
- You may commercially exploit finished works that contain the samples as incorporated elements.
4.3 Sample pack restrictions (what you may not do)
- Do not redistribute, share, torrent, upload, or sell the ZIP, individual raw samples, or substantially isolated stems as a sample pack, sound library, preset bank, or competing product.
- Do not claim ownership of the underlying samples or register them as your original composition in isolation.
- Do not use samples to train, fine-tune, or improve AI/ML models, generative audio systems, or datasets.
- Do not mint samples as NFTs or blockchain assets, or offer them in stock/royalty-free libraries.
- Do not share download links, signed URLs, or member-only files with anyone else.
4.4 Video & educational content
Studio breakdowns and similar educational materials are licensed solely for your personal study. They may not be copied, taught commercially as our content, scraped, or redistributed in whole or in part.
4.5 Mastering deliverables
You retain ownership of your underlying composition and sound recording rights in the mix you submit. You grant us a limited license to download, process, store, and deliver your files solely to perform the mastering service.
The mastered WAV we deliver is a work product of the service for your use in distributing that track. You are responsible for clearing any third-party rights in the mix you send us.
Unless agreed in writing, mastering does not include stems mastering, vinyl cuts, alternate versions beyond the included revision policy, or label A&R services.
4.6 Feedback
If you send testimonials, suggestions, or public comments, you grant DDS a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use that material for marketing and product improvement. We will not use your full legal name without permission.
- Library memberships renew automatically at the then-current price for the selected billing interval until you cancel.
- Prices are shown at checkout (typically in EUR or as otherwise displayed) and may include or exclude taxes depending on the payment provider and your location.
- Payment is processed by third-party processors (for example, Lemon Squeezy). We do not store full card numbers.
- You can cancel or manage renewal through the billing portal linked from your dashboard settings. Cancellation stops future renewals; it does not erase the current paid period.
- After cancellation, access generally continues until the end of the paid period (premium_until / billing period end), then ends.
- Tenure unlocks for older sample packs depend on continuous subscription tenure as implemented in the Library. Canceling, letting access lapse, or opening a new subscription later may reset or alter unlock progress according to our then-current rules.
- If payment fails or status becomes past due, we may pause downloads, streaming, or other member benefits until payment is restored.
- We may change subscription pricing or benefits prospectively. Price changes apply to future renewals after notice where required by law; they do not retroactively alter a period already paid.
Because Library access, videos, and sample packs are digital content delivered immediately (or on demand) and cannot be meaningfully returned, all sales are final to the maximum extent permitted by law.
6.1 Library subscriptions
- No refunds for change of mind, unused time, catalog dissatisfaction, or failure to cancel before renewal.
- Cancel before the next billing date if you do not want to renew.
- Once you stream Library video content or download any sample pack (or similar digital asset) during a billing period, that period is non-refundable.
- Where consumer law gives a cooling-off / withdrawal right for digital content, you expressly request immediate performance and acknowledge that you lose that right once delivery or streaming begins.
6.2 Sample packs & other downloads
- All downloadable products are final once a download is started, a signed download URL is issued, or you acknowledge the download policy — whichever comes first.
- Previews and product descriptions are provided so you can evaluate quality before purchase or download. Download means acceptance.
6.3 DDS Mastering
- Mastering fees are generally non-refundable once we have started work or downloaded your files.
- If you have paid but we have not yet started work and you cancel promptly in writing, we may refund at our discretion minus any non-recoverable processor fees.
- No refund solely because you dislike creative taste after receiving a completed master that meets a professional technical standard, provided the included revision allowance has been offered or used.
- One revision is included when stated on the product page, within a reasonable window after delivery. Extra revisions or alternate versions may require an additional fee.
- If we cannot complete the order for reasons solely within our control, we will refund or re-perform at our option.
6.4 Narrow exceptions
We may, at our sole discretion, refund or credit in cases such as: clear duplicate charges within a short window; proven unauthorized payment (coordinate with your bank); or non-delivery caused by a technical failure on our side that we cannot cure within a reasonable time after you notify us.
Chargebacks filed without first contacting us may result in suspension of accounts and licenses pending resolution. Contact [email protected] first.
You agree not to:
- Share accounts, scrape the catalog, bypass paywalls, or circumvent DRM, signed URLs, tokens, or access controls.
- Reverse engineer, copy, or mirror the site, players, or delivery systems except as allowed by mandatory law.
- Harass staff or community members, spam Discord, or misuse member spaces.
- Submit illegal, infringing, or harmful content in mastering orders or communications.
- Use the Services for any unlawful purpose or in a way that damages DDS infrastructure or reputation.
- Services are provided on an “as available” basis. Outages, maintenance, CDN issues, or third-party failures (payment, hosting, streaming, Discord) may occur.
- You are responsible for a suitable internet connection, supported browser, and storage for downloads.
- Third-party platforms (for example, Lemon Squeezy, Supabase, Bunny, Discord) have their own terms; your use of those platforms may be subject to them.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that content will meet your creative or commercial goals, chart, or clear label A&R. Educational content is not personalized legal, business, or engineering advice for every use case.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law (including mandatory consumer protections).
To the maximum extent permitted by law, DDS will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or business interruption, arising from the Services or these Terms.
Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Services will not exceed the amounts you paid to DDS for the specific Service giving rise to the claim during the twelve (12) months before the claim.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted.
You will defend and indemnify DDS against claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Services, your breach of these Terms, your redistribution of content, or your submission of infringing or unlawful mastering materials — except to the extent caused by our willful misconduct.
- You may stop using the Services and cancel subscriptions as described above.
- We may suspend or terminate access immediately for breach, fraud, chargeback abuse, IP infringement, or risk to the platform.
- On termination for your breach, licenses to downloaded sample content may be revoked, and you must delete shared/redistributed copies. Finished musical works already commercially released in compliance with these Terms before revocation are not required to be recalled solely due to revocation, except where the breach involved illegal or infringing use.
- Sections that by nature should survive (licenses restrictions, IP, refunds, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity, governing law) survive termination.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Serbia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence require otherwise.
Courts located in Serbia shall have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory rights you have to bring proceedings in your country of residence as a consumer.
Before filing a claim, email [email protected] with a brief description of the dispute and allow a reasonable time to resolve it informally.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do.
Material changes will be posted on this page and, where appropriate and feasible, communicated by email or in-product notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree, cancel your subscription and stop using the Services.
